To receive a Blue Flag, a beach or marina must be inspected annually and meet specific criteria. Some of these criteria include:
- Water Quality: Swimming water quality must be excellent. Clear seawater alone is not sufficient; water analysis results must comply with the EU Bathing Water Directive standards.
